Giveaway! We've Got that Fever!

Hey everyone, Nicole here!  On the heels of our epic Ontario Blog Squad meetup that was held this past Saturday (re-cap here) we have some giveaways for those of you who were unable to attend.  First up, we are giving away two ARC copies of Fever by Lauren DeStefano courtesy of Simon & Schuster Canada.

Title: Fever
Author: Lauren DeStefano
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publication Date: February 21, 2012

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.

Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the any means necessary.

In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.

This contest will run for one week and is open from 12:01 am on November 7, 2011 - 12:01 am on November 14, 2011.  This contest is only open to residents of Ontario.  Not a resident of Ontario?  Stay tuned as in the coming weeks we will have some giveaways for you as well.

Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the giveaway closing and have 48 hours to respond.

Good Luck!

    MaryAnn @ Chapter by Chapter

  12. My book recommendation would be Bones of Faerie and Faerie Winter by Janni Lee Simner (the first two in her Faerie Trilogy)!

Wish I had been able to make it. :( Maybe next time.

  13. I wish I was at the meet up, but in all technicalities I'm not actually a book blogger.

A book I'd recommend would be, umm... Clockwork Prince. I know it's not out yet, but I won an ARC of it and read it and absolutely loved it. Another recommendation, a book that hasn't already been released, would be... The Iron Knight. Perfect end to the series in my opinion.

    Thanks for the giveaway,
    - Megan

  14. I really wish I'd known about the mett up earlier. it would have been amazing! Meeting new people is always fun! And to be honest, who wouldn't want free books and swag?

As for a book I would recommend, I would say Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It's a very fun book especially if you're a gamer or just like sci-f/fantasy and MMOs. It was such an exhilarating read.

Anyway, thank you so much for the giveaway!

Book recommendation: I'm reading Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs right now and really enjoying it.

  19. Oh, shoot! We're suppose to give a book recommendation? Okay. How about Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel. It's my pick for Book of the Month. My little quote for it on my blog says:

"Dearly, Departed made me fall in love *with* a zombie. Clearly this book is a winner."

    There ya go. :)

  20. Definitely Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma.

  22. Moon called by patricia briggs! adult science fiction fantasy. It is one of my favorite series! It's really really good. contains werewolves, vampires, fae. Strong female character.

  23. Hello, fellow Ontarians! So excited to find this blog; hoping to be able to meet some of you in the future. I'm excited to see you promote book events in Ontario - I've been having an awful time trying to find information about these!

The book I'd recommend is actually an indie book, Perception, by Heather Cashman. Truly well crafted, interesting characters, and a fascinating her writing is just beautiful, not fluffy, but very fluid and enjoyable. Well worth the read!

  24. I can't believe I didn't know about this blog before! Super excited to see a place with fellow Ontario book bloggers :D Great giveaway! Dying to read Fever!!

  25. Thank you! Wish I could have been there. Looks like it was so much fun :) My book recommendation is Divergent by Veronica Roth. It's my favourite read of 2011.

  26. Best book I've read recently: Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, definitely.

Me, on my couch at 2 AM, sobbing my eyes out :/
