Title: Fever
Author: Lauren DeStefano
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publication Date: February 21, 2012
Synopsis
Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.
Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.
The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.
In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.

My book recommendation would be Bones of Faerie and Faerie Winter by Janni Lee Simner (the first two in her Faerie Trilogy)!
ReplyDeleteWish I had been able to make it. :( Maybe next time.
I wish I was at the meet up, but in all technicalities I'm not actually a book blogger.
ReplyDeleteA book I'd recommend would be, umm... Clockwork Prince. I know it's not out yet, but I won an ARC of it and read it and absolutely loved it. Another recommendation, a book that hasn't already been released, would be... The Iron Knight. Perfect end to the series in my opinion.
Thanks for the giveaway,
- Megan
I really wish I'd known about the mett up earlier. it would have been amazing! Meeting new people is always fun! And to be honest, who wouldn't want free books and swag?
ReplyDeleteAs for a book I would recommend, I would say Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It's a very fun book especially if you're a gamer or just like sci-f/fantasy and MMOs. It was such an exhilarating read.
Anyway, thank you so much for the giveaway!

Oh, shoot! We're suppose to give a book recommendation? Okay. How about Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel. It's my pick for Book of the Month. My little quote for it on my blog says:
ReplyDelete"Dearly, Departed made me fall in love *with* a zombie. Clearly this book is a winner."
There ya go. :)

ReplyDeleteThe book I'd recommend is actually an indie book, Perception, by Heather Cashman. Truly well crafted, interesting characters, and a fascinating world...plus her writing is just beautiful, not fluffy, but very fluid and enjoyable. Well worth the read!
I can't believe I didn't know about this blog before! Super excited to see a place with fellow Ontario book bloggers :D Great giveaway! Dying to read Fever!!
